These two different recipes of Kacha Golla and Chana Mishti have always been our favorites. Kacha Golla and Chana Mishti are too easy to make at home and would be a delightful treat to anyone with a sweet tooth.
Ingredients:
Kacha Golla
2-liter milk
4 tbsp vinegar
4 tbsp water
2 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp condensed milk
½ cup mawa
Chana Misti II
4 cups milk for cheese
3 tbsp lime juice
4 cups of milk
½ cup of sugar
¼ tsp cardamom
Instructions:
1. Bring milk to a boil then turn off the heat
2. Mix vinegar with water and add to the boiled milk to curd
3. Strain out the water and wrap the milk cheese using a cheesecloth
4. Rinse the milk cheese with water to remove access vinegar
5. Separate the milk cheese in half
6. Take one half and set aside
7. Knead the other half with sugar for 10 minutes
8. Transfer the milk cheese to a pan and cook for 4 minutes on low heat
9. Add condensed milk and cook until water evaporates
10. Transfer the milk cheese to a flat surface and add the other half milk cheese from earlier
11. Knead well and cut into 10 pieces of ball
12. Coat in mawa before serving
13. To prepare the second chana mishti, repeat step 1
14. Add lime juice and wait for the milk cheese to form
15. Repeat step 3 and 4
16. In a large pan, reduce milk to half and add the milk cheese
17. Continuously stir and add sugar and cardamom powder
18. Coat the baking glassware with ghee before transferring the chana mishti
19. Press down and garnish with pistachios and almonds
20. Press down again and cut into square pieces before serving
21. Ready to Enjoy!
