Delicious sweet pitha using simple ingredients with rich flavour
Ingredients:
Wrap
1 ½ cups ap flour
½ tsp salt
2 tbsp ghee
½ cup + 1 tbsp water
Filling
200 gm shredded coconut
220 gm jaggery
¼ tsp cardamom
Instructions:
1. Mix ap flour with salt, ghee and water
2. Knead a tight dough
3. Coat with cooking oil and cover to set aside
4. Rest the dough for 30 minutes
5. To prepare the filling, add shredded coconut and jaggery to a pan
6. Pour a splash of water and cardamom powder
7. Mix well and then transfer the filling onto a plate to cool down
8. Roll out the dough and form small round sheets
9. Place filling and seal
10. Deep fry until golden brown
11. Ready to enjoy!
