Spicy Potato Pancake



Ingredients

Potato 2 medium

Egg 2

White plain flour 1/2 cup

Red chilli powder 1/3 tsp

Green chilli 2 pcs chopped

Onion 1 medium chopped

Black pepper 1/2 tsp

Coriander 1/4 cup

Salt to taste


Direction

Peel and grate the potatoes, use a box grater to coarsely grate the potatoes. Soak them in 2 cups of cold water for 5 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and wash again with cold water. Squeeze dry and transfer potatoes to a clean, large bowl.

Break eggs into the bowl and add chopped onions, green chilli, white plain flour, black pepper, red chilli pepper. Mix everything together and add salt to taste.

Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add olive oil . Once the oil is hot, add the potato mix. Use a spatula to flatten the potatoes. Cook until golden brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes. Flip over and cook the other side until golden brown.

Drain excess oil and serve hot with ketchup or hot sauce.

Tips & Tricks

To get a crispy pancake

  • Squeeze all water out

  • Add salt to the potato mix at the very end so the batter does not become too soggy
