Our Keema Chaap recipe, while distinct from the intricate complexities often seen in kabab recipes, resonates with a similar principle of culinary finesse. In the realm of kebabs, one might encounter a myriad of ingredients, each adding its unique touch. However, this Keema Chaap recipe simplifies the process without compromising on the essence of flavor and texture.
Embracing a minimalist approach, we focus on the quality and combination of a select few ingredients. The process of meticulously mixing the minced meat with our carefully chosen spices and herbs is akin to the art of creating the perfect kofte. This thorough mixing not only infuses the meat with an array of flavors but also enhances its texture. The result is a succulent, flavorful, and bouncy texture, much like the finest kebabs.
Our technique ensures that the meat holds together splendidly, creating patties that are both robust and delicate in flavor. The absence of an overwhelming number of ingredients allows each element to shine through, bringing forth a harmony of tastes that is both satisfying and uniquely delightful.
In this Keema Chaap recipe, we celebrate the art of simplicity and the joy of creating something extraordinarily flavorful with just a handful of ingredients. It’s a culinary experience that is not only easy to replicate but also a joy to savor, perfect for those who appreciate the essence of flavor in every bite.
Ingredients:
500g minced meat
1¼ tsp garlic paste
½ tsp ginger paste
1½ tsp freshly ground coriander
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp roasted cumin powder
½ tsp garam masala
1 tsp chaap powder mix (made from a small cinnamon stick, 3 cloves, and ½ tsp of white pepper, ground in a mortar and pestle)
3 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
1 tsp chopped green chili
1¼ tsp salt, or to taste
1 egg
¼ cup bread crumbs, plus extra for coating
1 tbsp ghee
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine minced meat, garlic paste, ginger paste, ground coriander, red chili powder, roasted cumin, garam masala, 1 tsp of the prepared chaap powder mix, chopped coriander, green chili, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
Beat the egg and mix it into the meat along with ¼ cup of bread crumbs. Ensure everything is well-combined.
Take a handful of the meat mixture and form it into a ball. On a separate plate, spread out some bread crumbs.
Roll the meatball in the bread crumbs, then flatten it into a thin patty on the plate.
Heat ghee in a frying pan over medium heat. Once warm, place the patties in the pan.
Fry the patties until they are golden brown on both sides. Use a spatula to gently press down on the patties as they cook, helping them maintain their shape.
Once cooked, remove the patties from the pan and serve them hot with a salad and your favorite chutney.
This delightful Keema Chaap recipe brings the rich flavors of traditional spices together with the succulence of minced meat, creating a dish that's perfect for any occasion. Enjoy your meal!
