A delicious juicy burger with homemade gravy on top of rice
Ingredients:
1 tsp butter
2 cups basmati rice
3 cups hot water
¾ tsp salt
1 bay leaf
½ cup onion
2 garlic cloves
1 egg
1 tbsp mayonnaise
500 gm ground meat
1 tsp pepper
1 ¼ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp breadcrumbs
1 tsp butter
2 garlic cloves
1 medium onion
1 cup mushroom
3 tbsp ap flour
1 2/3 chicken stock
1 tsp ketchup
1 ½ tbsp dark soy sauce
1 egg
Instructions:
1. Add butter to a pot then stir in basmati rice
2. Pour in hot water
3. Add salt to taste
4. Add bay leaf and cover with lid
5. Cook for 15 minutes on low heat
6. Prepare burger while the rice cook
7. Mix ground meat with chopped onion, garlic, egg, pepper, salt, and breadcrumbs
8. Press down the 8 oz burger on a pan with cooking oil
9. Cook the burger for 3 minutes on each side on low heat
10. Remove the burger from heat and set aside
11. Add butter to the pan along with chopped garlic, sliced onion, and mushroom
12. Salt and pepper to taste
13. Stir in ap flour to thicken the gravy
14. Pour in chicken stock
15. Mix well until gravy thickens
16. Add ketchup and dark soy sauce
17. Mix gravy and set aside
18. Uncover lid from rice pot and remove bay leaf
19. Place rice on a plate, top it with a burger and desired amount of gravy
20. Garnish with a sunny side up egg
21. Ready to enjoy!
