Here are two different types of recipes of the yummy Pera Sondesh - Instant Milk Pera and Jaggery Pera.
Ingredients:
Instant Milk Pera
½ cup milk
½ cup of sugar
2 cups of milk powder
2 tbsp ghee
¼ tsp cardamom powder
Jaggery Pera
2 evaporated milk cans
1 tbsp ghee
100-gm jaggery
1 ½ tbsp ghee
Instructions for cardamom pera:
1. Dissolve sugar in milk
2. Stir in milk powder
3. Mix and mash on low flame
4. Add ghee and cardamom powder
5. Turn off the heat and mix well until smooth and soft
6. Let it cool for 2 minutes
7. Create round shape balls and press down in the center with your thumb
8. Place pistachio in the center before serving
9. Ready to Enjoy!
Instructions for jaggery pera:
1. Pour evaporated milk into a pan
2. Reduce evaporated milk to half
3. Add ghee and keep stirring on medium heat
4. Add jaggery and stir until consistency thickens on low heat
5. Add the remaining ghee and continue to stir until it can hold its shape
6. Let it cool for 2 minutes
7. Create round shape balls and press down in the center with your thumb
8. Place pistachio in the center before serving
9. Ready to Enjoy!
