Shrimp Pakora is very quick and easy to make appetizer, best served as a snack or appetizer with chutney or sauce of choice.
Ingredients
Shrimps 10 pcs
White bread 5 pcs
Onions finely chopped 1/4 cup
Green chilli finely chopped 3 pcs
Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder 1/4 tsp
Roasted cumin powder 1/4 tsp
Coriander leaves 1/4 cup
Soy Sauce 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Preparation
Rinse, clean and devein the shrimp by peeling the shell from it.
Trim the edges of bread slices and cut it in small cubes. Transfer to a plate and keep aside.
Cooking Directions
Cut shrimps into fine small pieces and transfer to a mixing bowl
Add finely chopped onions, green chilli, red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, minced garlic, soy sauce, chopped coriander leaves. Add salt as needed.
Mix everything together and make small shrimp balls.
Coat the shrimp balls with cubed white bread pieces. Using your hand, press from all corners and shape them into balls.
Repeat same process for all shrimp balls.
Place them on a plate and referigerate for 20 minutes, this will helps from falling apart during frying.
Heat enough oil in a pan to deep fry at medium high heat.
Check if oil is hot by dropping a small piece of dough, it should surface up to the top of the oil.
Carefully drop the shrimp balls into the hot oil and fry for 2 mins in each side until golden brown.
Remove and drain excess oil on paper towels.
Serve hot and alongside sweet chilli sauce.
