Chicken Jalfrezi

This delicious Chicken Jalfrezi is easy and simple, but totally crave-worthy.

Ingredients:

Chicken Prep

1 kg chicken

¾ turmeric

1 tsp red chili

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp cooking oil

Jalfrezi

3 tbsp cooking

1 cup onion

4-5 garlic cloves

1 ½ tsp cumin

1 ½ tsp coriander

1 cup tomato

1 tbsp ginger

4 tsp ketchup

1 tbsp butter

1 lime juice

1 tbsp fresh coriander

Instructions:

1. In a clear bowl, mix curry cut chicken pieces with turmeric, salt, red chili, and cooking oil

2. Marinate for 30 minutes or more

3. In a pan, add cooking oil along with thinly sliced onion, sliced garlic, pinch of salt, and the marinated chicken pieces

4. Saute for 8 minutes on high heat

5. Add cumin and coriander

6. Saute for another 5 minutes on medium-high heat

7. Stir in chopped tomato, sliced ginger, and ketchup

8. Pour hot water

9. Cook for 25 minutes on low heat with lid on

10. Stir occasionally

11. Finish off with butter, lime juice and some fresh coriander

12. Ready to enjoy!
